Reacting to "A Tale of the Ragged Mountains" - Episode 34

Let's listen to Edgar Allan Poe's "A Tale of the Ragged Mountains" - an eerie narrative about a man who takes a walk in the hills and comes back with a story to tell.  It's a new one to me, so I'll be sharing my candid reactions along the way.  Let me know what you think of it!

i have some hearing problems so i read it... and it really took me back to my teens, when the world was full of mysterious unknown continents and islands, and the arcane seemed just around the corner... soul transference and such reeks of medieval mysticism, and the dark uncharted wastes just beyond the realm of consciousness... great story, i should get back to reading some Poe, except even now, he's pretty scary...

Mudpuddle, this story also made me feel nostalgic. I miss the simpler time of my life when I could read seven or eight of these kinds of stories in one sitting. Now I read slower, and less frequently. :(
